Mon Laferte is a highly popular Chilean-Mexican singer, songwriter, and musician. She is currently one of the most successful and acclaimed artists in Latin America. She was born on May 2, 1983, in Viña del Mar, Chile. She had an inclination towards music from childhood; she began playing the guitar and singing at the age of just nine. To support her family financially, she started performing—singing—in local bars and on the streets of Viña del Mar at a very young age.
