Dolly Parton is an American songwriter, actress, singer, businesswoman, and philanthropist. She was born on January 19, 1946, in a two-room log cabin in Pittman Center, Tennessee, on the banks of the Little Pigeon River. Parton achieved success as a performer and songwriter with the release of her first album, Hello, I'm Dolly, in 1967. He has also been honored with numerous awards, including two Academy Awards, eleven Grammy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, and three Emmy Awards.
