Sasmit Pokharel is a Nepalese politician, born on 14 March 1996 in Kathmandu, Nepal. He has been the Minister of Technology and Sports of Nepal since 2026, and is one of the youngest MPs in the 7th House of Representatives of Nepal. He began his political career at the age of 18, inspired by the thoughtful campaign of Ujjwal Thapa. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Laws (BBM-LL.B) from Kathmandu University School of Law (KUSOL).
